Wellness & Vaccinations

Your pet’s health is important and preventive care is necessary. We recommend wellness exams, keeping your pets on a vaccination schedule, and working with us on all facets of wellness care. It’s no secret that preventive care is much better than treating illness and disease.

We want your pet to have a long, healthy life. For that to be possible, it’s important to take their health seriously and work closely with our staff. This is essential for all stages of your pet’s life, from their early years through the golden senior years. Just know, the Animal Medical Center of Wyoming team will be there every step of the way.

Annual visits, booster vaccinations, and other preventive care allow us to watch your pet’s health progress over time, so we’re ahead of the curve is something develops at any stage of their life.

What is “wellness care”?

Just like you do wellness visits with your doctor, it’s important that your pet does the same. During these visits, our team will spend time examining your pet from nose to tail. If we find it necessary, we’ll evaluate your pet’s internal health by listening to their heart and lungs, making sure everything is functioning just as it should. Depending on age and medical status, we may also recommend a number of diagnostic tests to help us further assess your companion’s overall health.

Wellness visits are also a great time to discuss other important components of your pet’s health care plan. During your wellness exams, we’ll go over your pet’s vaccination schedule, parasite prevention, proper nutrition, and weight control to keep your companion fit, and anything else deemed necessary in keeping your loved one as happy and healthy as possible.

Finally, although equally as important, wellness visits provide all of us at Animal Medical Center with the opportunity to get to know you and your animal friend on a more personal level. Remember – as your pet’s caregiver, you are also an important part of his or her health care team, and we welcome any questions or concerns that you may have. Together we will work hard to improve the chances of you both enjoying many healthy years of companionship.
